Pink Lady is a trademarked name for an apple variety known as Cripps Pink. The apple was developed by horticulturalist John Cripps, by crossing the Golden delicious apple with the Australian variety Lady Williams. The apples have a distinctive pink coloring, crispness and tart taste with a sweet finish. The white flesh is juicy and crisp, and offers a 'fizz-like' burst of flavor. They have become the biggest selling apple in Australia.
